Casey James Mears (born March 12, 1978) is an American professional stock car racing pilot.
He drives the No. 1 at the Stadium Super Trucks and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series full time. Germain Racing's 27 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is the company's 27th.
Mears, the uncle of four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Rick Mears and the uncle of IndyCar and off-road veteran Roger Mears, who died on June 29, is a former winner of the Coca-Cola 600.

Early career and open-wheel racing
Mears began competing in the SuperLites Off-Road Series in 1992, where he earned several top-three finishes after being active in go-karts for a season in 1991. In 1994, he began racing in sprints and finished third in the Jim Russell USAC Triple Crown Championship, with a victory at Mesa Marin Raceway. He claimed the championship in the USAC series for the next season.
Mears made his Dayton Indy Lights debut in 1996 and placed eighth overall at the Cleveland Grand Prix. In 1999, he began competing full-time in the Indy Lights Championship and finished second, losing by 14 points. He was also the fourth driver in Indy Lights to complete every lap in a single season. Mears began racing in the Indy Lights in 2000 and won his first race at the Grand Prix of Houston meeting in October.
Mears was given the opportunity to drive a third entry for Team Rahal at California Speedway in October after evaluating Indy Cars for various teams in 2000. He finished fourth in his CART Series debut after qualifying 15th and leading 10 laps. He participated in three IRL events before the 2001 Indianapolis 500, but didn't make it to the 2001 Indianapolis 500. Alex Zanardi, a retired Champ Car racer, finished the season by filling in for a top-ten finish in four starts.
