Danesh's debut in ITV show Popstars in 2001 with his witty interpretation of Britney Spears' Baby One More Time. He didn't make it into the band, but Will Young won the first Pop Idol the following year. Billy Flynn appeared in two runs of the show, as well as Guys And Dolls, Gone With The Wind, and others in the West End. Industry colleagues and admirers alike have expressed their surprise and sadness on social media in the case of Darius's death. Rylan Clark, a TV presenter and former X-Factor contestant, wrote: 'Proper sad about Darius,' while Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts said, "This is so sad.' 'I'm thinking about Darius' family and friends.' Sanjeev Bhaskar also tweeted: 'Sad news of Darius' mysteriously early death.' He was a guest at The Kumars and could not have been a more polite, warmer visitor with a keen sense of self deprecation.'
