Carolyn Bessette Kennedy - a 'GHOST influencer,' as top fashion brands return to her timeless looks for inspiration 24 years after she and JFK Jr. died in a plane crash

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 25, 2023
When Carolyn and JFK. Jr., the second child of late President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, began dating in the early 1990s and became one of the world's most talked about couples. Of course, the general public already had a fascination with the Kennedys, but Carolyn's bold fashion choices and her ability to turn even the simplest looks into a chic ensemble attracted even more. Carolyn, not only did she, who worked as the director of public relations for Calvin Klein's flagship store in Manhattan, command the red carpet whenever they attended an event, but she'll also turn the New York City streets into her own personal catwalk while running errands or walking their dog. Sadly, the pair died in a horrific plane crash in 1999, three years after they tied the knot, but some of her looks have continued to influence the fashion world decades after. Several of Carolyn's style staples, such as pencil skirts, slip dresses, loafers, and overcoats, have appeared on the runways at New York Fashion Week recently.

My winning fall recipe is on the Chic List: My winning fall recipe

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 2, 2023
JOANNE HEGARTY: I am looking forward to the new season because autumn's most wearable looks that, at first glance, seem formulaic. Collections are now being made to last rather than being forgotten about next year.

Take a look at our top picks: Get away from the florals!

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 11, 2023
I committed a significant fashion faux pastime lately - I was unable to attend the Chelsea Flower Show opening wearing a floral midi. The cheek of it! There hasn't been a more controversial topic this year as many believe that the days of this wardrobe staple, which is beloved by millions, are over. I really do hope so, thank you very much. One of the first to call time on the floral midi was John Lewis, the middle class shopping mecca. Can we please find a new national costume?

Where are the 'It' girls of the 90s and 2000s now? From Paris Hilton to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 14, 2023
If you've been on the internet lately, there's been a lot of discussion about the demise of 'It Girl,'.' A Vice headline declared 'How the internet killed the It Girl' in 2022 and YouTube has been flooded with videos asking questions such as: 'Did Instagram kill the it-girl?' However, Hulu's forthcoming documentary Queenmaker: The Making Of An It Girl takes us back to a certain period in the 2000s, when Tinsley Mortimer was one of the city's most popular brands, and Paris and Nicky Hilton were only known as the 'littlest socialites in town.' FEMAIL has taken a look at the It Girls who influenced our pop culture lexicon during the 1990s and 2000s, from Hilton sisters to socialite-turned-influencer Olivia Palermo, and Crown Princess Of Greece Marie-Chantal.

The Chic List: Where am I going this summer? The 90s

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 7, 2023
JOANNE HEGARTY: I'm too young and ignorant to do it properly the first time around, so I've decided that I'm having a completely 1990s style-inspired summer. My favorite pieces never go out of style, and the 90s version of minimalism encapsulates my summer dressing style.

The Chic List: A spring gleam in the colour combination

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 26, 2023
JOANNE HEGARTY: I'm a happy bunny when you give me a Scandinavian or French-inspired color palette of black, greys, creams, and browns - or, on a wild day, beige - and I'm a happy bunny. I like things pared back, and after years of experimenting, I've found the camp I want to pitch my style tent in, no matter how muddy the weather is. Women with understated looks, such as Jennifer Aniston, Sofia Coppola, the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and Ukrainian Vogue's fashion director Julie Pelipas, all have a certain energy that inspires me on a weekly basis. However, I'm also complicated. I don't like being put into a box. So I wear colour when the mood suits me, and here's how you can, too - even if you're like me and swim in a sea of neutrals.

JFK and Jackie O.'s special relationship with the queen

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 20, 2022
Queen Elizabeth II hosted President John F. Kennedy and his wife, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, at Buckingham Palace in June 1961. Jackie had a more formal one-on-one lunch meeting with the monarch in March 1962. Queen Elizabeth mourned the death of President Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, in November 1963, when she had a bell ring in Westminster Abbey. In 1965, she dedicated a memorial to JFK at Runnymede on an acre of land that had been donated to the US Queen Elizabeth's JFK and Jackie, one of many links between their two families. In the years after President Kennedy's assassination, the royals have continued to pay their respects to him.
