Carlos Daniel Franco (born 24 May 1965) is a Paraguayan professional golfer.

He is the uncle of golfer ngel Franco. Franco was born in Asunción, Paraguay.

He comes from a humble beginning and grew up in a one-room, dirt-floor home.

His father, a greenkeeper and caddie, is the product of five brothers, all of whom are golf professionals.

Carlos made his name as a professional in 1986 and has performed in many parts of the world.

He has won more than 20 tournaments in Latin America, and he has won five times on the Japan Golf Tour from 1994 to 1999.

On the Asian Tour, he also won the 1994 Philippine Open Championship.

He first participated in the U.S.-based PGA Tour in 1999 and was entirely exempt until 2006.

He was the first rookie to reach $1 million in earnings in a season and captured the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award.

He appeared on the PGA Tour four times.

He has appeared in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings, ranking as high as 16th in 2000.

He is also one of the few non-Americans to win a President's Cup as a member of the 1998 team. Franco spent time on the Web.com Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamérica after struggling to stay on the PGA Tour.

After turning 50, Franco joined the Champions Tour. Franco teamed up with Fabrizio Zanotti, Julieta Granada, and Sofia Garca to win the silver medal in the mixed team competition at the 2019 Pan American Games.
