Susan Sykes (born May 9, 1961) is a television performer and actress who has appeared in films including The Dictator (alongside Sacha Baron Cohen and Sir Ben Kingsley) and Deported, as well as several television shows under the stage name Busty Heart.
Early life and education
Sykes is the daughter of an IBM executive and a school teacher. Before her career in the entertainment industry, Sykes worked as an investment consultant and paralegal for a large law firm. Sykes graduated from Wellesley, Massachusetts, from the Dana Hall School. In 1979, she graduated from Pine Manor College in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Career
Sykes gained the nickname "Busty Heart" in high school, at which time her oversized breasts had already developed. In 1986, she appeared in Boston Celtics games as a fan. She had been given free tickets to a Celtics game, but she had been seated next to NBA prospect John Salley. Sykes shook her breasts at the camera, causing him to erupted in laughter as CBS' cameras caught Salley in the crowd. Sykes, who had previously been self-conscious of her large breasts and had otherwise avoided public appearances due to them, has since turned "parlayed 15 seconds of fame" into a 30-year-career" and has been a fixture at Celtics games. The Celtics won the 1986 NBA Finals and appeared (but lost) in 1987 NBA Finals, but Busty Heart was in the stands. Since being accused of public lewdness after attending a Cardinals game, she mostly stopped attending sporting events in 1990.
