After being found guilty of neglecting a dependent for her behavior, Blossum Kirby, 36, will spend a year in jail. Multiple people called 911 after seeing Kirby riding through Indianapolis with the infants in a milk crate that was attached to her bicycle's front. During the summer heat, some people claim to see the mother almost fall off the bike as the children sat in the plastic box. Kirby told police that she always carried her children that way because she didn't have a car. Photographs revealed that the kids were just wearing diapers in the mid-80s summer sun, and that the crate was being held on by a bungee cord.

Michael D. Williams, 47, of Deland, was arrested (left) on September 18 after dialing 911 and confessed to shooting her ex-wife and her son. Ebanks-Williams, a mental health counselor, had called police several hours before the assault, demanding 'legal information' about 'who has the keys.' Jeramiah and Faith, five and six year-old boys (pictured right with their father and grandmother), were both inside the house at the time during the shooting but unharmed. They are being interviewed as 'witnesses,' according to the police.' Williams is being detained without a bond and was charged with two counts of first-degree predence.
