Zach is BACK!Wilson of the New York Jets has been named as the start of New York's game against Houston on Sunday's game against Houston, despite rumors that the struggling QB is not aiming for a return to the top of the depth chart

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 6, 2023
Zach Wilson, the starting quarterback for the New York Jets, has been criticized again on the depth chart just days after reports announced that the struggling third-year signal caller was against returning to the top of the chart. In the team's new shuffle at the quarterback position, the Jets cut Tim Boyle after two starts and signed Brett Rypien off the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad on Tuesday. Although replacing benched Zach Wilson the previous two games, Boyle mainly failed. He was 41 of 63 for 327 yards and one touchdown, with three interceptions, including a Hail Mary that was returned 99 yards for a touchdown against Miami, and in two losses as the starter. The Jets (4-8) are mired in a five-game losing streak, and their offense has struggled to function without Aaron Rodgers' help since breaking his left Achilles tendon four snaps into his debut with New York in the season opener.

New York Jets 'release Tim Boyle and sign Brett Rypien from Seattle's practice squad' as their dismal season and QB woes continue

After just two weeks of trying, Tim Boyle's experiment in East Rutherford has come to an end. Boyle was suspended in the middle of the game after a poor showing against the Atlanta Falcons resulted in a 13-8 loss. Boyle has been cut and replaced on the roster by Brett Rypien, according to CBS' Josina Anderson.

Russell Wilson, the Broncos' quarterback, has admitted that he regrets not playing better after Nathaniel Hackett's dismissal

The first-year NFL head coach (right) was fired on Christmas Day after a 51-14 loss to the Rams with two games remaining in a lost season, allowing Broncos executives to start their search for a new head coach. The 34-year-old Wilson (left), 'Clearly distraught by Hackett, an amazing man, aweful mentor, and a genius, just watching him, his children, and how he's taught the game to us.' [...] The truth is, I wish I'd have done better for him. I wish I've played at the same and at a level that I've always played at and know how to play at such a level...but what I do know is that he's resilient. He's a fantastic mentor, as I've said. I adore him to death, and I'm sure everyone misses him for sure.'
