Career
In 2006, he appeared in Minor League Baseball with the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts and the Triple-A Louisville Bats. The Cincinnati Reds traded Salmon to the Kansas City Royals on March 19, 2008, for a player who would be named later (Henry Arias).
At the end of the 2008 season, he became a free agent and signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox. During spring training, the White Sox activated him. Salmon signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on April 22, 2009. He spent the season with the Salt Lake Bees, the Angels' Triple-A affiliate.
Salmon debuted as a free agent in the 2009 season and then landed with the Aceros de Monclova for 2010.
