When OceanGate co-founder Kevin Cooper discovers Titan submarine ruins, it's time to celebrate

Guillermo Sohnlein, the OceanGate co-founder, was speaking with a BBC reporter when he was told that debris had been discovered on the ocean floor in the hunt for the missing submerged. 'I'm sorry, some what has been found?' A stricken Sohnlein began to ask before the journalist explained that no wreck had been found. Sohnlein appeared breathless and taken aback by the news, which he most likely knew there had been an implosion onboard. I'm not sure [what the wreck is] because I'm seeing this for the first time, but I do know that the pilot's job is to surface the sub.' I'd guess that's what Stockton would have done right from the beginning. In this case, it's impossible to locate the sub because the surface ship may not have noticed it and may not have known where to look. I'm incredibly worried about this whole thing because they're floating on the surface and they're also really difficult to find.' However, it later emerged that the rubble discovered by a remotely operated vehicle onboard the Canadian vessel Horizon Arctic was not part of the Titan submerged.

Rescuers have recovered 'five major' portions of the Titanic's destroyed Titan submerged, which suffered a "catastrophic implosion" 1,600ft from the bow, killing all five people on board. On the ocean floor, part of the submersible's tail cone and landing frame were discovered by a remotely operated vehicle sent by the Canadian vessel Horizon Arctic. Authorities later learned that the pieces included the front and back ends of the vessel's pressure hull, which is where one of the doomed passengers' porthole window was located when the ship imploded. The findings were made by former Royal Navy commander Ryan Ramsey, who said that the pieces of rubble could help investigators determine the broken system and possibly 'piece together what happened in those last moments.'

Bill Barr slams 'wrong' decision to grant Trump a special master to review Mar-a-Lago documents

On Tuesday, Donald Trump's former attorney general reiterated his displeasure with the ex-president, saying the evidence against him was clear and that a judge would not appoint a special master to review documents confiscated at Mar-a-Lago, according to the senator's comment. A federal judge in Florida gave Trump a victory by agreeing to his appointment for a special master a day earlier, slowing the process. Bill Barr slammed the decision, but said it would likely be reversed if the government appealed.

Trump did not declassify records that were intercepted by the FBI, according to Bill Barr

On Friday, Donald Trump's attorney general slammed his former boss, saying there was no legitimate reason for government records to be kept at Mar-a-Lago. Bill Barr said he did not believe Trump's assertion that he had declassified everything before it was taken to his Florida resort, and he struck back at FBI investigators who said it was 'unprecedented' for such delicate information to be shipped to a 'country club.' Barr made his remarks as Trump supporters continue to suspect the FBI and Department of Justice of conducting a witch hunt.

Ex-FBI agents claim that there was nothing suspicious about the Mar-a-Lago search photo

On the carpet of Mar-a-Lago this week, a photograph of classified information angered Donald Trump and his allies, who accused the FBI of staging the image to discredit the former president. The photo was found in a box, not strewn across the floor, according to former special agents, and that an inventory was made on Friday. In a court filing on Tuesday night, the photograph was released.
