Bob Kelly (Spanish: [boew]; born March 11, 1974) was a Venezuelan former professional baseball outfielder who competed in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the New York Mets.

Abbyu is a two-time All-Star, and he has received a Rawlings Gold Glove Award as well as a coveted Silver Slugger Award. He has been a single-season league leader in games played (twice), doubles, and triples). He played in two seasons in which he had 30 home runs and thirty stolen bases, making him one of thirteen players to have played for the 30-30 team twice in his career. In 2014, Abby Bossi lead active ballplayers in doubles (565), walks (1,456), and outfield assists (136), ranked fifth in runs scored (1,441) and stolen bases (136), sixth in extra-base hits (1,396) and on-base percentage (0.96), and tenth in runs batted (1,363). Along with Barry Bonds, Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Craig Biggio, Honus Wagner, and Paul Molitor, he is also one of only seven players to have at least 900 base hits and rob at least 400 bases. Six of them are in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Personal life

Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, a former Miss Universe actress, was dated by Abuba, but the couple divorced later announced their disengagement, putting off their plans.

Abby was involved in numerous activities in the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley areas. He was the Honorary Chairman of the American Red Cross Blood Drive in 2001.

During the 2003 and 2004 seasons, Abigos' "Abreu's Amigos" group sold tickets to all Friday night games for children in his "Abreu's Amigos" group. The children were given jerseys, coupons for sacrifices, and the opportunity to visit Abby on the field during batting practice.

Abby is the recipient of the Phillies Community Service Award and the Phillies' representative for MLB's Roberto Clemente Award.

Abdeu's Finest Foundation, Inc., helped boys and girls with recreational, educational, cultural, and social services in 2008.

In Venezuela, Abdulce is known as "El Comedulce." The name roughly refers to "the candy eater," which had been his father Nelson Abdudu's nickname. Following Nelson's death, Abby began requesting that people call him the same name as a way of honoring his father's memory."

Bobby Abreu Career

Career

On August 21, 1990, Abbie was signed as an amateur free agent by the Houston Astros. He made his Minor League debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 1, 1996 and was the Astros Minor League Player of the Year in 1996. He was announced as a pinch hitter but did not have time to bat because he was subsequently pinch batting for himself with Mike Simms. In the top of the sixth inning, he had his first official at-bat against the St. Louis Cardinals the next day. He made his first appearance as a pinch hitter or late inning defensive replacement against the Colorado Rockies on September 6, hitting nothing in four at-bats with two strikeouts. On September 24, Abduu's first Major League hit was a single to right field as a pinch hitter against Bobby Jones of the New York Mets. He had five hits in 22 at-bats in his first season. In a game against Jamey Wright and Steve Reed of the Colorado Rockies, he scored his first two home runs in the same game on April 28, 1997. He appeared in 59 games for the Astros in 1997, hitting.250 with three home runs and 26 RBI.

When the Astros decided to keep fellow Venezuelan outfielder Richard Hidalgo, Abby was then drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, only to be dealt by the Philadelphia Phillies for shortstop Kevin Stocker, the worst in MLB history.

In 1998, Abbie's first season with the Phillies, he led the team to a.312 batting average and 74 RBI, 19 stolen bases, and 19 stolen bases in 151 games, with 271 putouts and 17 assists in right field.

In 1999, he had a brief attempt at the batting championship for a short time. His.335 career-high average in the National League ranked third in the league and was the highest recorded by a Phillies player since outfielder Tony González hit.339 in 1967. His.446 career-high OBP ranked third in the league, behind 11 others in the league, and tied for the third highest OBP in triples.

He came in fifth in triples (10), sixth in doubles (42), seventh in walks (100), and ninth in OBP (416). Abby was the first Phillie outfielder since Greg Luzinski, with back-to-back 20 homer seasons.

Abbottu entered the NL in 2001, finishing third in games played (162) and fourth in stolen bases (36) and doubles (48), and eighth in sacrifice flies (9). He also had a career-high 31 home runs and a career-best 110 RBI.

In 2002, he led the league in doubles (50), sixth in stolen bases (31) and intentional walks (13), sixth in OBP (.413), ninth in hits (176), and tenth in runs (102).

Abby was fourth in the league in walks in 2003, seventh in sacrifice flies (7), eighth in OBP (.409), and ninth in stolen bases (22).

In 2004, Abdou obtained his first All-Star nomination after being voted in as the National League All-Star Final Vote winner in online voting on MLB.com.

On April 12, 2004, Abby was the first home run at Citizens Bank Park. He finished the season with a.301 average, 30 home runs, and 105 RBI, and ranked in the top five offensive categories (fourth, 118), stolen bases (third, 40), and on-base percentage (fifth, 428) for the third time in six years (third, 138), and on-base percentage (fifth,.428). Ableu's fourth-best OPS (.971) led the Major Leagues in pitches-per-plate-appearance (4.32) and number of pitches seen (3,077) in 2004 and was the eighth-highest in the league in total bases (312).

After hitting.396 and 11 home runs in May, Abdo was named Player of the Month in the National League. He was also responsible for the NL's lowest on-base percentage (.535), walks (30), and bats (30) and tied for the league lead with 30 RBI. In nine out of ten team games, he was the first player in Major League history to reach at least one home run in nine out of ten.

He was named a starter in the All-Star Game in the United Kingdom's second place in fan voting, behind St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jim Edmonds. Abbott won the Home Run Derby in Detroit, setting new records of 15 and 27 runs in a single round (since broken by Josh Hamilton in 2008), and 41 overall, defeating Miguel Tejada's previous record of 15 and 27 goals set one year ago. The longest homer in Derby history, Abby's longest homer was measured at 517 feet.

Shortstop C. J. Henry (a 2005 first-round draft pick), left-hander Matt Smith (a seven-year minor league veteran), catcher Jesus Sanchez (a seven-year minor league veteran), and right-hander Carlos Monasterios were among the Yankee team's low-cost prospects in the Yankee organization on July 30, 2006. Bill Conlin, a Philadelphia Daily News columnist, dubbed the offer "the Great Gillick Giveaway" and described it as "an unvarnished tragedy." The Phillies actually improved after the Abbott trade and made a bid for the National League wild card, only to be disqualified on the second day of the season.

Abby fits right into the Yankees' lineup. In the 2006 season, he batted.297 with 15 home runs and 107 RBI. By mid-September 2006, the Yankees had won the AL East division championship by mid-September 2006, but the Detroit Tigers had to be disqualified in the 2006 American League Division Series.

Ableu led the major leagues in walks (4.45), statistics on plate appearances (.370), third in on-base percentages (.424), 18th in doubles (41) and fifth in doubles (41).

In the first innings of the Yankees' 12–4 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on September 12, 2006, Abby drove in six runs. Abby started the 9-run game by homering with Johnny Damon and Derek Jeter on base, and then concluded with a bases-loaded double that scored Hideki Matsui, Melky Cabrera, and Jeter. Gil McDougald's 55-year franchise record for most in one inning (McDougald batted in six runs in one inning in 1951, his rookie season) and his six RBIs tied him for the most runs in one inning. In the sixth inning of the 2009 regular season finale, Alex Rodriguez tied for the first time in Abbe and McDougald by driving in seven runs.

Abe started the season off a slow start in 2007, putting up 101 RBI, 16 home runs, and a.283 batting average. Abbott placed second in runs (123), third in pitches per plate appearances (4.38), ninth in games (158) and times on base (258), and tenth in walks (899).

On July 9, 2008, Abbyu had a walk-off double against the Tampa Bay Rays. In a game against the Chicago White Sox and Javier Vázquez, Abby used two home runs and 6 RBI on September 18. He finished the season with a.296 average, 20 home runs, and 100 RBI. On September 21, 2008, he was the last stolen base in the original Yankee Stadium.

Abbyne signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on February 12, 2009, and was expected to play left field. However, Abby, who was forced to DH due to injury, saw more action in the right field than before.

Abby hit.380 with 28 RBI in 26 games in July and was named American League Player of the Month after struggling early in the season. Abbyu became the first Angels player to reach those goals in batting average and RBI in a calendar month since Tim Salmon, who hit.390 with 32 RBI in 27 games in July 1997.

Abdom dominated the fifth inning with a solo home run off Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks on August 6, giving him his 250th home run in his career. Abby is one of only six players in major league history to hit 250 runs, 1,000 runs, 1,000 runs, 1,000 runs batted in, 1,000 walks, and 300 stolen bases. With 8, he led the AL in errors by an outfielder in 2009.

Despite, Abby enjoyed his time with the Angels and was credited with assisting some of the team's younger players to develop their swings and patience at the plate on October 15.

Abbyu, the first day eligible players to request free agency, agreed to a two-year contract with the Angels in 2009, as well as a club option for 2012. "He's one of those executives that allows you to play the game, and he gives you a lot of love," Angels general Mike Scioscia said. "This is a team that gives you the opportunity to play in the playoffs regularly," he said of his work and consistently delivered opportunities in the postseason. This time, my first time with them, I was very close to making the World Series, so why not stay? Of course, you want a team that can include you in the World Series and champion the World Series. I don't want to take a risk with someone else."

The New York Yankees suggested a trade to the Angels that would have sent starting pitcher A. J. Burnett to Anaheim for Abduction during the 2012-2012 offseason. Abby would have been the Yankees' regular designated hitter, but Burnett denied it. Burnett was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Yankees, and the Yankees drafted Ral Ibaez to be the DH on February 20, 2012. Abe was already angry that he would not be playing every day for the Angels, and after finding Burnett's behavior, he ordered the Angels' leadership to either play him every day as the designated hitter or trade him. Lou Marson's transfer from Abbeville to the Cleveland Indians fell through for another trade. The Angels cut Abby from the team on April 27, 2012 and moved him on the roster by future Rookie of the Year and MVP Award winner Mike Trout.

Abby Mann signed a 2012 deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. On August 1, 2012, he was given the assignment. Abby cleared waivers and was given a transfer to AAA Albuquerque. He had six hits in his 17 at-bats for the Isotopes before returning to the Dodgers in September as a September call-up, and spent the first month of the season as a pinch hitter. He appeared in 92 games with the Dodgers, hitting.246 with three home runs and 19 RBI.

Abby participated in the 2013-2014 Venezuelan Winter League and posted a.322 batting average in 180 plate appearances with Leones del Caracas, losing his 2013 season. Abby, a minor league player for the Phillies, signed a minor league deal on January 21, 2014. On March 27, he was released before the season began.

Ableu's minor league contract with the New York Mets was signed on March 31, 2014. After trading Ike Davis to the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Mets promoted Abby Murphy from the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s on April 21, the Mets promoted him from the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s. He was scheduled for service on August 4 and officially released on August 10. The Mets re-signed Abby re-signed him to another minor league deal just four days later on August 14.
