Mail Sport has announced that in what is seen as a historic arrangement, the tournament is expected to attract a minimum of £148 million over the next four seasons to display the game outside of the United Kingdom. The EFL has encouraged interested broadcasters and media firms to suggest new ways of presenting the league on television and streaming platforms from the 2024-25 season, as their current deal with Sky Sports comes to an end. One of the options being considered is to lift the current ban on film matches live from 2.45pm to 5.15 p.m. on Saturday.
