Jack Kirmond (left), 33, a husband-to-be and younger brother of an ex-rugby actor, was reportedly killed by a single punch at his own engagement party. Casey Chalkley, Mr Kirmond's fiancée, is said to have been "heartbroken" as a result of his death. Mr Kirmond, 33, suggested to Miss Chalkley on a sunshine holiday in spring, but the engagement party took place over the weekend, so friends and family could celebrate with them. He died after his head struck the pavement outside the amateur Sharlston Rovers Rugby League club (inset), which he competed for, in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, about midnight on Sunday, August 8. Mr Kirmond, a former rifleman who served in Afghanistan, was admitted to hospital but sadly died as a result of his injury on Monday.
