Ben Goldsmith reveals sister Jemima Khan led passengers in prayer after their flight plummeted 30,000 feet after mentally unstable passenger stormed the cockpit

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 19, 2024
Passengers and crew onboard a British Airways jumbo jet, which plummeted 30,000 feet relived the terror of the day in Channel 5 documentary Terror at 30,000 feet. One of the survivors, financier and environmentalist Ben Goldsmith, (right) who was on the flight with his mother Lady Annabel Goldsmith, his sister Journalist Jemima and her son's, discussed his experience on the the Nairobi-bound Boeing 747 in December 29, 2000. With 400 passengers on board, BA flight 2069 (left) left Gatwick six hours earlier and was cruising 35,000 ft above Sudan when a mentally unstable passenger, Kenyan man Paul Mukonyi, (inset) stormed the cockpit and took over the controls.

Lady Gabriella Windsor's heartbreak: How the royal is marking wedding anniversary without her beloved husband Thomas Kingston - five years after they dazzled in glorious Windsor nuptials, writes CLAUDIA JOSEPH

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 18, 2024
The daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent today faces her fifth wedding anniversary without her beloved husband by her side, writes CLAUDIA JOSEPH. Instead of waking up with her late husband Thomas Kingston at their flat in Notting Hill, west London , Lady Gabriella Windsor has moved back in with her parents at Kensington Palace. Today marks five years since Lady Gabriella, 43, who is 56th in line to the throne, emerged from St George's Chapel, Windsor, into glorious sunshine on the arm of her financier husband. But, rather than exchanging wooden gifts, Ella, as she is known to family and friends, is mourning the man whom she dated for three years before he proposed to her on the Channel Island of Sark. Thomas, a committed Christian former and Iraqi hostage negotiator, died in February. While less starry than the weddings of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie , who were also married at Windsor Castle , Lady Gabriella's and Thomas's nuptials had an equally dazzling array of guests, including a contingent of senior Royals. Both the late Queen and Duke of Edinburgh watched her walk down the aisle in a bespoke gown by Italian couturier Luisa Beccaria and delicate veil made from layers of white tulle and embroidered flowers.

Moment dozens of deer stop traffic by running across busy road - as Ben Goldsmith says re-introducing wolves and lynx would stop them in their tracks

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 14, 2024
After a video of 3ft tall deers crossing the A15 in Lincolnshire was posted on social media, Ben Goldsmith, a former environment consultant, made the suggestion. 'Of course, we can take wolves, especially in East Anglia, where crops need to be shielded from hungry deer,' Mr Goldsmith, whose brother Zac was the Tory MP for Richmond Park until 2019.' Hundreds of people are killed and injured in traffic accidents every year, including deer running through highways. In recent years, the deer population has risen to an estimated two million, the largest number in 1,000 years. Parts of the reason why the population has risen is because there are no longer any natural predators around, with only one man able to monitor their numbers.
