On Saturday, members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call, resulting in the attempted arrest of Breeland. Breeland allegedly did not go into handcuffs without issue, assaulting multiple police officers before being booked into jail.

According to police, Bashaud Breeland, a Super Bowl-winning former football cornerback, was arrested this week after being found in possession of opioids, firearms, and a stolen vehicle. Breeland was arrested at 2:12 a.m. on Tuesday and charged with eight criminal possessions, including unlawful motor vehicle ownership and unlawful firearms possession. The drugs were valued at $7,000.00 in police records cited by TMZ.
