Barbara Rhoades (born March 23, 1946) is an American actress best known for her role as penit Penelope "Bad Penny" Cushings in The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968).

Career

Rhoades began acting in the late 1960s, appearing on many television shows, including It Takes a Thief, Ironside, Mannix, McMillan & Wife, Columbo, Mitch, Corumbo, Kitty, Simon, Bewitched, Moro, MacMillan, and Jones, The Odd Couple, The Partridge Family, Murder, She Wrote and Order. She appeared on the 1977 situation comedy Busting Loose, starring Melody Feebeck, and Generations 89, "Jess Berning: Jessica Gardner on Generations a.k.a.

Rhoades began working with Universal Pictures in 1967 and signed a long-term exclusive deal.

Rhoades appeared in a number of films during the 1970s, including "There Was a Crooked Man" (1970), opposite Kirk Douglas and Henry Fonda, and Up the Sandbox (1972) starring Barbra Strobisand. "No Balls" Hadley played her role in The Choirboys and a Las Vegas hooker who picks up Art Carney on the road during his Oscar-winning appearance in Harry and Tonto (1974). She appeared in Scream Blacula (1973) and The Goodbye Girl (1977) as a panelist on Gene Rayburn's legendary 1970s game show Match Game. Elisabeth Shue appeared in First Born in 2007.

Rhoades played a showgirl in the musical Funny Girl (1964) for 18 months on Broadway. She had some stage experience at the Cecilwood Theater in Fishkill, New York, in the summer stock productions.
