Ayaz Niyazi oglu Mutallibov (born 12 May 1938) is an Azerbaijani politician who served as the first president of Azerbaijan.
He was the last king of Soviet Azerbaijan and the first President of independent Azerbaijan from October 1991 to May 1992.

Mutallibov was married to Adila Mutallibova, who died in 2019. They had two sons, Azad and Zaur, grandsons Tahir, and granddaughter Madina. Azad's son died of cancer on August 9, leaving only Zaur. Mutallibov arrived in Baku to attend his son's funeral. It was his first visit to the country after 1992.
