Rana started his career with the television serial Swabhimaan, followed by serials like Farz, Sazish, Jax Kabhi, Waris and anchoring the TV show, Baazi Kiski. He also hosted Sarkaar Ki Duniya, a reality show which took place on Mango Island in Karwar, Karnataka.
