Riley Strain's parents have chastised Nashville police for doing a "B-minus job" in the investigation into their son's unexplained disappearance. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Strain, 22, was last seen on March 8 at Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink on Broadway, which is owned by country superstar Luke Bryan. The Delta Chi fraternity member from the University of Missouri had travelled to Tennessee for their annual spring formal. Strain has still not been found, and his parents visited NewsNation to discuss how Nashville cops may have delayed the probe into their son's disappearance. On NewsNation, Strain's mother Michelle and her stepfather Chris Whiteid, as well as his father Ryan Gilbert, talked to NewsNation to address the ongoing hunt. New details about the 21-year-old roommate's health, who was in the house on the night of the brutal massacre and told investigators that after killing her relatives, a man walked past her bedroom. J. Reuben Appelman, a journalist and private investigator, is the only reporter to talk to Mortensen's father, who was one of only two survivors from the University murder house. 'She was basically dogpiled on social media in the first weeks after those murders,' he said in an interview with Ashleigh Banfield to discuss his latest book, Although Idaho Slept.' Mortensen was suspected of being complicit in the crimes, according to some, she was a drug dealer, although others referred to her as a drug dealer, among other things. 'This was part of her suffering,' he said. Dylan herself has retreated from the public eye, so only a few people recognize her.'

The mother of Xana Kernodle is now convicted of heroin use, and she admits that her daughter's murder caused relapse

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 8, 2023
According to DailyMail.com, the mother of University of Idaho mass murder Xana Kernodle is now prisoned in jail and unable to stay sober with no contact from her two living children. It's the latest in a string of tragic events for troubled Cara Northington, who has revealed a relapse after her daughter's brutal murder in November. The 43-year-old is being held at Cootenai County Jail in Coeur d'Alene, 90 miles away from where 20-year-old Xana, her boyfriend, and two housemates were killed on November 13. Since being arrested in Spokane, Washington, where she had been holed up in a ratty motel strunging out on fentanyl and methamphetamines, she has been in jail on drug charges since February 24. Northington is now in a cell with three other prisoners on bunk beds at the hospital where she only has daytime access to the gruesome killings, despite her drug withdrawals.

ASHLEIGH BANFIELD: Alex Murdaugh, a digital celebrity, was killed in a shooting near his family's house

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 3, 2023
BANFIELD: It was Paul, Alex Murdaugh's son's murdered cell phone that exposed the smoldering deceit that his father had been told for a year and a half, according to him. When Alex, a 54-year-old disgraced attorney, and his son, Paul, 22, were fatally shot down on their sprawling, low country South Carolina estate in June of 2021, he denied he was anywhere near his doomed wife, Maggie, 52, and baby, Paul, 22. Alex maintained that he was napping in the main house and had no idea of the horrors that were playing out 1,100 feet away from the family's kennels for the first time ever since that tragic night. However, it was the dumbest, most damaging lie he could have ever told. Because Paul made a chance video of one of the dogs inside the kennels, the high-pitched, yet haunting voice of Alex Murdaugh was included in the background. If there is one thing the Alex Murdaugh murder trial has taught us is that celebrity witnesses are lurking in almost every household's back pocket.

'I trusted her': Mom of Idaho victim slams lawyer for abandoning her to represent accused KILLER

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 26, 2023
Xana Kernodle, 20 (right), of Cara Northington, Idaho, was murdered with three classmates in their student house in Moscow, Idaho. Ann Taylor (inset) of Northington is now representing Bryan Kohberger, 28, the suspected murderer. Northington, who has long fought heroin, said she only learned Taylor was representing her daughter's suspected killer after a friend posted it on social media and told her. Northington said she felt she had been left by the lawyers, and that police may have deemed Kohberger as a perpetrator but not told them - allowing her other daughter, Jazzmin Kernodle, to continue her studies at Washington State University with Kohberger. Northington was active on Facebook pages dedicated to finding the killer weeks after her daughter's murder. She now knows that Kohberger was a member of the group, which she regrets. That was shocking,' she told News Nation host Ashleigh Banfield.' 'Absolutely shocking.' I had no idea he was trolling the organisations like that. To me, it was a shock.'
