Anna Samson has made history as the first ever female lead detective in a brand new Death In Paradise spin-off (bottom left), which will take the beloved series for Saint Marie to a brand new bay Down Under. Return to Paradise will be set in sun-soaked Australia and follows DI Mackenzie Clarke as she solves a whole host of mysterious murders. This role will certainly be a big break in the UK for Anna (bottom centre), who previously starred in one of Australia's biggest soaps (top left), and even dated one of her co-stars (bottom right). After growing up in Nigeria and breaking into TV, the star caught the eye of BBC bosses with her stage work, impressing critics on both sides of the world.

The lead detectives in Death In Paradise were all lured by warm weather and an idyllic lifestyle, but none of the actors playing the role have stayed around long-term. Four actors have played Ben Miller, Kris Marshall, Ardal O'Hanlon, and Ralf Little in the island's 13-series run. Ralf, 44, will be the next actor to leave the show after appearing as DI Neville Parker part-way through series nine, according to rumors.

Chieftainess Rebecca Banika of Botswana gives Camilla a warm recommendation after confirming that the allegation is not universal. "It's certainly a good move for the Queen of England to advocate for the use of wildlife products such as ivory," she says.

DEN CONFIDENTIAL: After Dylan Mulvaney's advert, Lady Victoria Hervey rages over Nike'mockery' of women

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Victoria Hervey (pictured) has no doubt what makes a woman. Born a Lady, due to her father's rank as the 6th Marquess of Bristol, she has no doubt what makes a lady. The social media has also intervened in the controversy surrounding Nike's choice of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to market its female sports clothing collection. Mulvaney, a TikTok actor and actress, identifies as a woman and uses the pronouns "she/they" but has not undergone gender reassignment surgery. 'They are trying to erase real women,' Lady Victoria of Nike says. 'It's a complete mockery of women that has gone way too far.'

CRISTOPHER STEVENS: Father Dougal and Mrs Doyle... a union that will break your TV set

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 8, 2022
Some things are just wrong. CHRISTOPHER STEVENS: Some things are simply wrong. Never wear tweed at Christmas. Jeremy Clarkson can't publish a vegan cookbook. Father Dougal will not marry Mrs Doyle on any account. The very thought of Ardal O'Hanlon and Pauline McLynn, the priestly dimwit and Father Ted's neurotic housekeeper, as a couple is deeply troubling. It's almost incestuous, and certainly against all of Ireland's laws. Conall and Win, Sheridan Smith's tirelessly forgiving parents of Rosie Molloy, are here (Sky Comedy). Despite the fact that they only had one scene together in the first episode, the pair stole the show, and that takes some getting used when Sheridan is playing a party girl at full throttle.
