EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Could King Charles increase millions by welcoming film crews into Buckingham Palace?

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 8, 2024
EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Are the £75 tours of Buckingham Palace's balcony room a dry run for when the Palace becomes a fully-fledged cash-cow?With Charles basing himself at Clarence House and in effect downgrading the Palace, couldn't he raise millions making it available to film crews and organisations for functions? If the Palace tills worked all year, the annual £12 million income from the summer openings could have quadrupled. I'm told the balcony was included in the original tour itinerary, with paying visitors photographed at the historic venue but it was later turned down.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: After Earl Spencer revealed that he was sexually abused as a child Prince Phillip and King Charles' former prep school Cheam is now hit by shocking historic allegations

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 15, 2024
His description of a predatory young matron at his prep school, Maidwell Hall, has sparked a great deal of sympathy. Earl Spencer's obituaries may now be eclipsed by those of his contemporaries who attended Cheam, the prep school to which Prince Philip and King Charles were later sent. Cheam, which is currently a coeducational school, is a 32,595-per-year institution. It was boys-only back in the 1970s, which explains the appeal to a French master. A former student recalls, 'He was discovered crawling out from underneath a [boy's] bed at night.' "I was looking for my torch," he said. You know what? The police were never called. He went to another school in the Home Counties and developed a beard.' The school's deputy matrons were more popular. The one, who was only 17 years old at the time, had all the boys flocking down to her bedroom, a trend that came only after the headmaster discovered a 13-year-old boy crying.' 'He said, "What are you doing?" Sir, I'm getting a good night's kiss." He was defeated,' recalls his Cheam contemporary. 'The deputy matron was shot.'

According to EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE, King Charles' call for all able-bodied royals to attend the Commonwealth Day service sheds an unwelcome light on the family sickbay

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 7, 2024
EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Queen Camilla will lead the extended Royal Family at the Commonwealth Day service on Monday, with the missing King directing all able-bodied royals to attend. This sheds an unwelcome light on the royal sickbay (the King, Kate and Princess Alexandra) as well as others' frailty. The Duke of Kent (89 this year) now needs a stick or wheelchair to get around, and the Duke of Gloucester is 80 in August. On Sunday, Prince Edward, the Windsor clan's one-time baby, turned 60.

Anne Robinson, Camilla's ex-marriage, has been romancing Weakest Link actor Anne Robinson for 14 months... But RICHARD KAY has all the gossip about the Queen's ex, who was once known as London's best lover

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 15, 2023
He has been one of those shadows who flit discreetly about the upper reaches of society with colleagues from high places for decades. Very popular destinations. Princess Anne's occasional escort since childhood, but for his Catholic faith, may have married him, and someone whose ex-wife, of course, is now the Queen. A man about whom male chums would tell tales of his amorous adventures and legendary sexual prowess. How gratifying is it then for Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, who has always smuggish accounts of his bedroom conquests, to find that, 11 days before his 84th birthday, he is still the subject of such adoring gossip.

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 7, 2023
EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Robert Jenrick, the now-you-know-him-now-you-don't immigration minister, reaffirms his passion for immigration cuts. Could this be the same Tory politician who wrote in The Art Newspaper encouraging hundreds of foreign artists, dancers and writers to come to Britain using the little-known Home Office scheme, the Global Talent visa?Around 700 people from 60 different countries, including China, the United States, Nigeria, and Russia, have registered this year. Before packing his ministerial sandwiches in a road map, Rob said, 'We're attracting the best and brightest to Britain.'

JANET STREET-PORTER: Sorry Anne Robinson, but I can't see the snarky 'Queen of Mean' holding her sharp tongue just because she's met her elderly Prince Charming (and, no, I'm not jealous)

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 7, 2023
JANET STREET-PORTER: To many, it will be the season of good cheer and blessings, but I find it difficult to congratulate Anne Robinson, Queen of Means, on her new posh boyfriend, Andrew Parker Bowles. According to locals in their smart bit of the Cotwolds, Anne (79) and the 83-year-old retired army officer have been secretly dating for a year. What is it about these ageing lovers that gives me the 'ick'?More importantly - am I jealous?Possibly.

PLATELL'S PEOPLE: What a shame Prince Harry has tarnished his greatest achievement

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 1, 2023
AMANDA PLATELL: This week has in many ways reminded us of Prince Harry's finest performances. Nearly a decade after he created the Invictus Games, his latest Netflix docu-series followed a number of wounded Armed Forces veterans as they prepared for the event. It was as thrilling as it was moving. We had tales of a great deal of courage from vets who had overcome adversity and found a reason to live - all thanks to Invictus.

EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: King Charles remains silent on Unesco threat to Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 26, 2023

Prince of Wales David Cameron managed to stop a multi-billion-pound renovation of Chelsea Barracks and the National Gallery's'monstrous carbuncle' extension, which was on display. "It will no longer be possible for me to devote so much of my time and resources to the charities and causes for which I am so deeply concerned," he told the nation after the Queen's death. www.dailymail.co.uk, December 2, 2022
