Career

Anna Eriksson came to public attention after being involved in the Kiitorata song competition on MTV3 in 1995. Anna Eriksson's debut album was released in 1997. More than 81,000 copies have been sold, or double platinum. Juliet ja Joonatan and Kesä yhdessä were among the album's most popular singles. Eriksson received the Emma award as the Year's Best Newcomer.

Anna Joulu, Eriksson's 1998 Christmas collection, debuted not on album charts but gradually began selling gold. The following year, Odota mua, the third album, was released, with the hit song Ilta yöhön kuljettaa.

Eriksson performed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with the song Oot voimani mun written by Petri Laaksonen. She came in second place in the final, losing by three points to the winner. However, the song later became the first Finnish song to be voted in the OGAE Second Chance Competition, where the best of the qualifiers from Eurovision songs will be selected.

In a public vote organized by Iskelmä Radio in 2001, Eriksson's Kun katsoit minuun was named the year's best iskelmä of the year. Kun katsoit minuun, Eriksson, was named Female Artist of the Year by the Emma Award after selling over 57,000 songs.

The Kaikista kasvoista album, which was released in November 2003, has sold platinum, and the title song became one of Eriksson's most hit songs.

Eriksson conducted a concert tour of 16 venues in honor of the artist's tenth birthday, with the release of the album Sinusta sinuun. More than 50,000 copies of the album were sold and many hit songs, including Ei se mennyt niin, were included in the set. Eriksson and Sipe Santapukki wrote the majority of the songs on the Sinuun album.

On February 25, 2010, Eriksson's eighth and first English language studio album Garden of Love was released. The album was completely different in style from the artist's previous releases. The latest album brought the former performer of pop-iskelmä music to a more personal and dramatic display. Eriksson composed and wrote all of the songs on the Garden of Love album.

Eriksson's most recent studio album, Mana, which she created and produced herself, was released in 2012. Eriksson received the Teosto Prize in 2013 (one of the Nordic countries' top art awards).
