Winter coats are available now - and wear 'til summer'. SHANE WATSON explains how to dress like a grown up

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 10, 2023
Starting with a poppy red M&S number (centre), UK style specialist SHANE WATSON suggests buying a winter coat that is both inspiring, mood brightening, and entrance making. Make your red coat with black boots (right), or go for a much brighter look and wear red over green silk like Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts (left).

ELIZABETH WINDER takes a look at the groupies who made The Rolling Stones

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 15, 2023
ELIZABETH WINDER: You could tell she was different from the rest of the Rolling Stones groupies. When she returned to Munich in 1965, she was nothing like the normal Swing Sixties models - all knee socks, babydoll dresses, heavy eyeliner, and thick mascara. Everything about her suggested experience, from her difficult-to-place accent to her hand-made leather gladiator sandals. Her first words were perhaps not surprising in the context of the Sixties. 'Want to smoke a joint?' She begged the band for help. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were suspiciously at her. They'd never done drugs before. The only coke they'd had was mixed with rum. Brian Jones was seen in the corner. She wondered at him. 'Yes,' he replied. Let's do that.' It's been back to the hotel.' The woman followed the Stones to Berlin the next day. Their tours were in girl-free zones, but here was Brian Flanagan flaunting his bewitching new love: Anita Pallenberg, the hedonistic, pretty, multi-lingual, 23-year-old German/Italian model and actress. Marsha Hunt, inset top. Mick Jagger with Bianca Perez-Mora Macias. Marianne Faithfull and Jagger, from the top, right. Keith Richards and his partner Anita, along with his daughter Anita.

JANE GREEN claims that getting a snake tattoo at 54 shows that her inner rebel is not dead, and that she is not dead yet

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 23, 2022
JANE GREEN: The tattoo I got at 25 was a point of shame for many years. I'd love to put it down to a drunken mistake, but I was stone-cold sober, trotting down London's Portobello Road with my friend, who begged me to get one as we passed a tattoo parody. She was joking, but the task was beyond reach, and I had never been one to turn down a challenge. At the time, I had a thing for dolphins. I'd been to Dingle Bay, Ireland, and I'd written a post about swimming with the infamous dolphin that lived there. As a huge shadow swam below me, it wasn't so much swimming as me being completely afraid. The dolphin and I met face-to-face the next day in shallower waters, and I was struck by its extreme kindness and compassion in its eyes.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Street smoking man! On lunch outing, Keef's son Marlon puffs a cigarette

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 8, 2022
EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Keith Richards said once that "some doctor told me I had six months to live and I went to his funeral." 'I'll write all your epitaphs.' However, Rolling Stones guitarist Ed Miliband took the precaution of quitting smoking two years ago and has reported on the benefits: 'I noticed I had more air in the lungs and in the voice.' Marlon Richards (left, and inset), 53, enjoys a puff, but his wife, Lucie de la Falaise, 49, and their children, Ella and Ida, enjoys a puff. The art curator, who appears to be a dead ringer for his father, is the eldest of Keef's four children and the son of the actor's late-term girlfriend Anita Pallenberg, who died in 2017 at the age of 75.

Queen of Thrift, stylist BAY GARNETT's tells Frankie Graddon why second-hand is second to none

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 18, 2022
Bay Garnett (pictured) is a trendsetter in the true sense of the word. She began to campaign for secondhand clothing long before 'preloved' was a thing. It was long before myriad applications were dedicated to it. Long before 'thrifting' had become common parlance, it had been used as a term. 49-year-old Garnett, as a contributing fashion editor to the glossiest magazines, was the first stylist to feature thrifted pieces in high-end fashion shoots. She has made a career out of a market fueled by constant change, she has devoted her life to honoring the old.
