Angelo Badalamenti, the well-known David Lynch composer known for his compositions on Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, and Mulholland Drive, has died at the age of 85. Badalamenti died of natural causes on Sunday and was surrounded by his family at his Lincoln Park, New Jersey, according to his niece Frances Badalamenti of The Hollywood Reporter. Badalamenti had previously been known for writing songs by Nina Simone, Shirley Bassey, Nancy Wilson, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, and Liza Minnelli, as well as others for Inside the Actors Studio and the Barcelona Summer Olympics.
