Angela Park Career

Amateur career

Park was a hit in the American Junior Golf Association, winning five times. She has won 24 top-ten finishes in 29 events over the past four seasons. She has competed in both the Canon Cup and the USA Junior Solheim Cup. In 2005, she reached the semi-finals of the United States Women's Amateur Championship, the country's highest amateur tournament for women golfers.

Professional career

Park turned professional at the age of 17, and she competed in the Futures Tour, where she competed in sixteen events, with a decision to forego college. She earned full playing rights on the LPGA for 2007 at the LPGA Qualifying Tournament in December 2006, and was named LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year for 2007. At the United States Women's Open, she led after two rounds, while she tied for runner-up as a rookie.

Park retired from professional golf at the age of 22, both mentally and physically drained, but she hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning to play again.
