Personal life
Andrea Tovar was born in Quibdó, and she is the niece of Dr. Antonio Tovar and Xenia Rosa Velásquez, a Homemaker. At the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá, she is currently studying Industrial Design and Photographic Image Production.
Miss Chocó 2014 was crowned Miss Chocó, but she was forced to postpone her participation in the national pageant until 2015. Miss Colombia was the longest reigning monarch for a long time, and she was Miss Colombia for 16 months and four days. Andrea was crowned Miss Colombia 2015, the second black Miss Colombia from Chocó to win the crown after Vanessa Mendoza in 2001.
Andrea appeared in the Miss Universe 2016 pageant in the Philippines, where she continued Colombia's participation in the Miss Universe pageant by finishing in the semifinals for the third time. Iris Mittenaere of France was the second runner-up.
Career
Sesorita Chocó has been named Seorita Chocó (Miss Choco Colombia 2015). Miss Colombia 2015 was crowned later this year. She is currently modelling as a freelance model.
