Kreskin's television series From 1972 to 1975, Kreskin's The Amazing World of Kreskin was broadcast on CTV and in syndication in the United States. It was shot in Ottawa, Ontario, at the CJOH-TV studios. In 1975-1977 at the CFTO-TV studios in Toronto, branded as The New Kreskin Show, an additional set of episodes were produced in 1975 to 1977. From 1970 to 1980, he appeared on The Tonight Show 61 times. He made his way into fame in the 1980s and 1990s with several appearances on Late Night with David Letterman and on the Howard Stern Show. In 2009, he became the first guest to appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Despite Kreskin's "predictions," he does not appear to have innate or clairvoyant powers and does not want to be regarded as a "psychic." One of his most popular tactics is to conduct his own audit for his latest results. If he does not find it, he does not get paid for the day. When he is led off stage and into seclusion by some of the audience, he commands the audience to conceal an envelope containing his paycheck. He then re-emerges and hunts through the crowd, with almost always being able to locate the correct location.

According to Kreskin, he has failed only ten or eleven times, including his appearance at Rockwell's in Pelham, where he required two attempts and a "rehide" of the check, along with two more attempts to locate the check/note. Kreskin's quest for the ticket in New York's Lion Theater on April 14, 2018, although the singers were unable to locate the check amid the sold out audience. The check was carried out within the general area. However, his attempts were futile, as perhaps eight to ten minutes later he threw up his hands and declared that he had failed at the trick for the 12th time in 30 years.

"This course, not jogging lost memories by lowering techniques or detecting lies by body language and voice inflections," Kreskin teaches classes for law enforcement agencies.

The 2008 film The Great Buck Howard is based on writer-director Sean McGinly's experience as Kreskin's road manager for a brief period.

Kreskin will be the voice of The Magic Tree in a new animated series titled "The Adventures of Little Billy: In Search of the Magic Tree," based on a book by Barry J. Farber.

Kreskin is still active as a performer and appears on WPIX in New York City and annually on both the Fox News Channel and CNN to give his New Year's Day predictions for the coming year.

He has been a resident of Caldwell, New Jersey, for the past eight years.
