Allison Hayes Career

Career

Hayes made her film debut in the 1954 comedy Francis Joins the WACS. Sign of the Pagan, her second film, gave her a pivotal role in a relatively minor film. She portrayed a siren who eventually kills Jack Palance, opposition Jack Palance. Despite the success of her second film role, she appeared in minor roles in her next two films. Originally cast in Foxfire (1955), she was forced to be hospitalized after a complaint was brought against Universal Pictures for damages, including broken ribs, that she suffered while filming Sign of the Pagan. She was released from her job by Columbia Pictures in 1955, and she was signed by Columbia Pictures.

Joyce Kern, alias Sue Morton, played Joyce Kern, the father of her father, who died in Chicago Syndicate, her first film for Columbia, and she seeks revenge for her father's murder. Arnie Valent, a local gangster, was portrayed as Joyce Kern. Count Three and Pray gave her the role that she later referred to as the best of her career. Hayes appeared in Van Heflin, co-starring Raymond Burr and Joanne Woodward in her debut. She was in love with Heflin as an arrogant Southern belle returning from the Civil War as a minister. Hayes is destined to be Burr's live-in "housekeeper" after being inspired by him. Hayes was the subject of several well-played dramatic scenes. However, when the film was released, a lot of reviewers' attention was on Woodward, and Hayes was largely dismissed. She appeared in films including The Steel Jungle, Mohawk, and Gunslinger (all 1956), but there was a fall from a horse during the shoot-ing of the latter, leaving Hayes with a broken arm and is unable to function. Since recovering, she began appearing in supporting roles in television shows.

She appeared in several B films, including Wolf Dog, as well as being the lead actress in Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, in which she plays a corrupt socialite who rises to heights due to an alien encounter. She appeared in this film with Yvette Vickers and William Hudson, and it's possibly her best-known role. The film attracted a following in subsequent years after being largely dependent on Hayes spending almost all the time she is enlarged calling for "Harry!" due to its science fiction storyline and low budget. When she frantically searches for her philandering husband, she finds him. Though she remained a model and gained modeling work, the film did not lead to higher roles, she was still looking for better opportunities. She appeared in Continuing Medical care in 1963 and 1964, but by this time, her film career was almost over.

In seven episodes in the western film "British In 1958, Ellie Winters, a stunning poker dealer/secret agent, appeared in the recurring role. Rose Morton appeared in Season 2 Episode 7 of Rawhide in 1959. She was a close friend of Raymond Burr since filming Count Three and Pray, and she made five guest appearances on Perry Mason during this period, including the role of Pearl Chute in the 1962 edition "The Case of the Bogus Books."

She began to have serious health problems and was unable to walk without a cane as her acting career progressed. In severe pain, her usual good-natured personality began to shift and she became physically and tumultuous, making it impossible for her to find acting work. She appeared in a minor role in the 1965 Elvis Presley film Tickle Me, making her last appearances in a guest role on Gomer Pyle, Washington, D.C. In 1967, the first car was invented in the United States.
