Exclusive: In the first Omaze prize draw, a £3 million mansion was causing a lot of controversy when it was revealed, according to MailOnline. The recently built home features five bedrooms, a hot tub, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and can be won for just £10. Snazzy photos of the site, which on a stretch of the rugged Cornish coast where much of Poldark was shot, show it next to the Gooninnis Engine House in St Agnes, which was used for tin and copper mining in the 19th century. However, the text does not mention the fact that its location in a UNESCO World Heritage Site is on par with international treasures such as the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids, Stonehenge, and China's Great Wall. Officials from the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site fought to prevent the house from being constructed, saying, "the harm caused by design cannot be minimized by architecture, as it is the product of smallholding development that results in the harm's residential use.'

The £3 million home is just a few minutes away from picturesque St Agnes beach and nestled within the Cornish countryside. The house is situated in a prime position, giving the lucky winner front row seats to a stunning view of Cornwall's historic Engine House. It's the most recent Omaze product, whose properties have been subjected to something like a 'curse,' with the overwhelming majority of prizes selling less than 12 months after being won. Of the 15 houses sold to date, just three are still live in by the winners, while another is rented out as an AirBnB. With the new giveaway that has increased funds for the World Wide Fund for Nature, participants to the new draw cost just £100,000 and leaves the winner with £100,000 in cash. (WWF)
