Nicholas Alexander Ko (born February 3, 1996) is an American actor, film producer, and screenwriter.

In 2009, he received the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway.

Early life

Ko is the middle child of three children. He was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. Cheukman Sam Ko Koo adolescent was born in Hong Kong and was involved in several projects, including Shanghai Surprise and The Protector (1985 film). Since moving to the United States in 1992 and died of cancer when Alex was 11 years old, Ko's father became an entrepreneur. Tammie Cumming's mother was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in DeLand, Florida. In "Billy Elliot the Musical," Ko and his family migrated to New York City to play Billy. Ko said that his family is heavily influenced by the Chinese lifestyle.

Since being 5-years old, Kobe has won National and Regional Dance and Gymnastics Championship titles. He was the youngest student to attend The University of Iowa Department of Dance, where he earned college credit and a 4.0 grade-point average. He was also given full scholarships to Steps on Broadway and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City.

Education

After attending elementary school in Iowa under Iowa's Talented and Gifted law, Kobe was accepted to The University of Iowa and dual-enrolled in the Iowa City Home School Assistance Program.

Ko continued his dance training at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School (ballet) – The American Ballet Theatre's Pre-Professional Division.

Kobo attended the Professional Children's School in New York City and went on to study and graduated with honors from the American University of Paris.
