Adam Clark Curry (born September 3, 1964) is a podcaster, announcer, internet entrepreneur, and media star known for his time as VJ on MTV and being one of the first celebrities to develop and manage Web pages.

He first became involved in podcasting in the 2000s, and has been dubbed the 'Podfather' because of his efforts.

Personal life

Curry has lived in Belgium, Guildford and London, England; San Francisco and Los Angeles, California; and Austin, Texas, United States.

Curry was married to Dutch television/radio actress Patricia Paay from 1989 to 2009. Christina is Christina's daughter.

Curry married Micky Hoogendijk in July 2012. Curry revealed on No Agenda's show that he and Hoogendijk had broken up on January 29, 2015. In 2015, Hoogendijk and Curry divorced.

On May 19, 2019, in Austin, Texas, Curry married Tina Snider (dubbed "The Keeper" by John C. Dvorak on the No Agenda Show.

Curry, the nephew of former CIA official and US Ambassador to Korea Donald Gregg, who referred to him as "Uncle Don" in his podcast, is the nephew of former CIA official and US Ambassador to Korea, Donald Gregg.

Early broadcast career

Curry was born in Arlington, Virginia, but he spent time in Amstelveen, Netherlands, from 1972 to 1987. After a time spent at Radio Picasso in Amstelveen and Radio Decibel in the early 1980s under the pseudonym "John Holden," he got a break in broadcasting as the host of the Dutch weekly pop-music television show Countdown and the English version of the same program, which was broadcast on pan-European music channel Music Box. He has also hosted several other radio and television programs for the Dutch radio station Veronica. Aside Countdown, Adam Curry is best known for his participation in the Curry and Van Inkel radioshow (along with Dutch DJ Jeroen van Inkel), which was broadcast on Radio 3 for Veronica between 19:00 and 22:00 on Friday.

Curry, a 1987 graduate of MTV, became a MTV "VJ." In addition to making spot appearances in music videos, he was also host of the programs Headbangers Ball and MTV Top 20 Video Countdown, in which he talked to actors like Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. He did radio work, including drive-time host for the New York City radio station WHTZ and host of MTV's national program HitLine USA, as well as host of MTV's national program HitLine USA.

From November 1991 to June 1994, Curry hosted "Adam Curry's Top 30 Hitlist" for Entertainment Radio Networks.
