An inquest heard that a much-loved student died after a hospital's 'critical' failure to find a rare tumor by a'simple' urine test. Despite fears about Adam Ali's high blood pressures starting at the age of nine, the healthy growth lagged undetected for seven years, according to the Birmingham Children's Hospital. According to Birmingham Coroner's Court, the 17-year-old 'would almost be here today' had the underlying ganglioma from which he died was identified and removed. Urine tests that may have led to the tumour's diagnosis, surgery, and most likely saving his life were conducted in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
