The neighbourhood in North London is home to the biggest population of Hasidic Jews in Europe and has long been plagued by anti-Semitic assaults, but these appear to have increased in intensity since the October 7 terror attacks on Israel. Suspected hate crimes reported to police in recent months include thugs on bikes randomly assaulting men in traditional Jewish dress, and a horrific attack that saw a 20-year-old woman allegedly beaten unconscious. Graffiti showing the Star of David crossed out has also appeared in the neighbourhood and a religious school left daubed in red paint.

Questible Magistrates' Court in east London found Quentin guilty of inflicting serious bodily injury as a result of beating, which was the subject of a trial. On December 8, Mr Law submitted the case to Snaresbrook Crown Court for sentencing, granting Quentshi bail on the condition that he does not enter Hackney, the London borough.

Abdullah Qureshi, 29, of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, has been charged with attacking three Orthodox Jews in Stamford Hill, London, a wealthy Jewish neighborhood in the capital. The Muslim man has been accused of travelling 180 miles from Yorkshire to London in order to'deliberately' threaten "members of the Jewish faith.' On their way to a synagogue, two men were disarmed, and one young boy was harmed while walking the Jewish School wearing a Jewish coat.
