Tiger Woods eagles the first hole as he tees it up with NFL quarterback Josh Allen and MLB outfielder Aaron Hicks in the Pro-Am ahead of return to action at the Genesis Invitational

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 14, 2024
Tiger Woods is back on the track with NFL quarterback Josh Allen and MLB actor Aaron Hicks on Wednesday, ahead of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club. As they played in the Pro-Am Wednesday, Woods was joined by some of the Buffalo Bills' signal caller and Angels outfielder as they competed in the Genesis Invitational this week. Woods' PGA Tour debut is in Riviera, 1992, when he was just a 16-year-old boy, but the Tour's 82-time champion has yet to win at the LA course. But he'll be trying to defy the trend this week, starting with his pal Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland at 12.25 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Mets and Yankees fail, while the Braves and Rays make a playoff push

We've arrived halfway through the 2023 Major League Baseball season, and the old rules haven't been followed. The Cardinals and Padres are a mess, the Marlins and Orioles are raging into the playoffs, and anyone who made a pre-season forecast of the Mets or Yankees is rubbing their eyes in disbelief. Two and a half months remain for teams to sort themselves out for the pennant chase, and as the regular season hits pause and MLB heads to Seattle for the All-Star Break, Mail Sport grades all 30 teams on their 2023 campaign so far:

Former Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is among the Baltimore Orioles to swoop for former Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 31, 2023
Aaron Hicks, the Baltimore Orioles' outfielder, was signed on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after Cedric Mullins went down with a strained right groin. Mullins was on the 10-day hospitalized list on Tuesday, but the Orioles are hoping Hicks would help defensively in Camden Yards' wide open outfield. Hicks was cut by the New York Yankees last week after he had more than two 1/2 years on his deal. We had suspected that he was a free agent well before the accident,' Orioles general manager Mike Elias said. 'When the accident occurred and it became abundantly apparent that this was going to be an IL, it seemed to be a good match even more so at that time.'
