Wyatt Earp and his brothers leave their gunslinging lifestyle as they head out on the frontier to retire in Tombstone, Arizona. Even though they aren't looking for trouble, it inevitably finds them. They must once again put on their holsters and saddle up to restore order. The film was directed by George P. Cosmatos.

The film was a box office success, becoming one of the highest grossing pictures of the year. It released 6 months prior to actor Kevin Costner's western titled Wyatt Earp.
