About The Little Princess

A little girl is left by her father in an exclusive seminary for girls, when her father fights in the Second Boer War. Later, when he is presumed dead she is forced to become a servant.

About

After her father left to go fight in the Boer War, a young girl named Sara Crewe is sent off to an all-girls private school. While away in war, speculations are made whether her father is still alive due to his lack of payments and his sudden disappearance. Heartbroken and alone, Sara must go on a search to find her loving father.

Trivia

This movie was the first all-Technicolor film that Shirley Temple ever appeared in. The film received a nomination for Best Film during the Faro Island Film Festival back in 1939.
