Three scientists, including a married couple named Michael and Karen, are deeply involved in a clinical research study to develop a system where they can control people's minds and basically brainwash them. As their power to control people is strengthened, the possibility of corruption is heightened as well. 

Trivia

Actress Natalie Wood died before the filming of the movie was fully completed so the ending had to be created from scenes shot earlier. Her sister Lana Wood filled in for Natalie in some shots in efforts to help finish the film.
