The film was nominated for four Academy Awards. The film takes place in the fictional location of "Isle de Charles Doucet" or as the locals call it: the Bathtub.

Actor

Hushpuppy is played by 2012's youngest Academy Award nominee, Quvenzhane Wallis. Dwight Henry plays alongside her as her father, Wink.
