Defining the punk rock sound, five of their members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. They were given the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. 

Trivia

They disbanded in 1996. Their three founding members, Joey, Johnny, and Dee Dee, are all deceased.
