An everyday high school student unwittingly comes into the possession of a notebook that grants the ability to take lives.  The anime is based on Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's manga of the same name.

The anime ran for a total of thirty seven episodes during its year-long run. Animation was done by the studio Madhouse.
