MAN UNITED 1-1 BURNLEY - JOE BERNSTEIN AT OLD TRAFFORD: Old Trafford visitor Usain Bolt would have admired the breakneck pace on show that helped produce 43 goal attempts. Less so the inability to get over the finishing line. Manchester United made Burnley pay for missed chances by taking the lead through Antony after 80 minutes following a mistake by Clarets midfielder Sander Berge. Even then, Erik ten Hag's side couldn't put the relegation candidates away. Goalkeeper Andre Onana, had a rush of blood with three minutes left and careered into Zeki Amdouni who gratefully converted the resulting penalty.

When approaching a cross in the 92nd minute, Clarets keeper James Trafford was hindered by Elijah Adebayo. Burnley would certainly have won their fourth game of the season if Trafford had collected it. Rather, Adebayo knocked him out of the way. Substitute Carlton Morris sank in the equalizer, and Turf Moor was also feeling the sting of foreboding that unjust treatment. VAR checked, but it was not in breach of Burnley's No. 1 after referee Tony Harrington.

After 15 seconds, the striker struck Charie Taylor's cross before receiving further strikes from Jacob Bruun Larsen, Zeki Amdouni, Luca Koleosho, and Josh Brownhill. On boss Vincent Kompany, the pressure was eased.
