www.dailymail.co.uk, October 18, 2024

Royal mothers... three decades apart: Princess Diana and Kate Middleton show their maternal love in strikingly similar videos

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 4, 2024
As a universally famous princess who is mother to the future King, Kate Middleton has more than a little bit in common with the late Princess Diana. Kate, the first Princess of Wales since the tragic death of Diana in 1997, has strived to emulate her late mother-in-law's passionate work for charitable causes. And another shared trait is their love for their children and other youngsters, as videos filmed decades apart reveal. In a clip from 1984, Princess Diana can be seen holding her youngest son Prince Harry during his christening party at Windsor Castle. Diana is seen trying to beckon over her three-year-old niece Zara Phillips. She shouts, 'Zara!', and asks someone nearby, 'can you get Zara?', before saying her name again as she beckons her over with her hand. Three decades later, Prince William and Kate brought Prince George and Princes Charlotte on their royal tour of Canada. At a party for military families, Kate was filmed petting a dog. The clip shows her turning around and calling out: 'Look Charlotte, Charlotte look,' to try and get her daughter's attention.

Royal pets: From King Charles' Jack Russell to George V's sweary parrot and the Queen's corgis... after monarch adopts chickens

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 26, 2024
Zara Phillips shares her mother's love of horses. She won a silver medal in the three-day equestrian event at the 2012 London Olympics, riding 11-year-old High Kingdom (left, on High Kingdom in 2018). King George V kept a parrot named Charlotte (inset top, with Princess Elizabeth) who would even eat at the dinner table. King Charles loved his Jack Russell Tigga, who died in 2002 aged 18. Queen Elizabeth (pictured right with one of her corgis at Balmoral in 1952) kept corgis for most of her life and was first introduced to the breed when her father bought the Princess and her younger sister Princess Margaret a Pembrokeshire Welsh Corgi named Dookie when she was seven

Half the world away! Inside Liam Gallagher's sprawling 'Downton Abbey-style' Cotswolds 11-bedroom mansion (with a sauna) that the Oasis frontman and fiancée Debbie Gwyther rent for £19,000-a-month

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 8, 2024
The rocker famous for his hell-raising antics has been quietly preparing for the much-hyped Oasis reunion in the spectacular Cotswolds bolthole that was formerly owned by a baron. Some might say the castle-like gothic Manor House is half the world away from the cramped council house in a gritty part of Manchester where the singer grew up and shared a bedroom with older brother Noel. The feuding siblings would certainly not be getting under each other's feet in the tranquil surroundings of the grand Grade II-listed Victorian pile near Stroud in Gloucestershire. The 16,000 square foot property has 11 bedrooms including a 'principal suite' on the first floor featuring a grand bedroom, central bathroom and fully fitted dressing room.

Lady Sarah Chatto celebrates 30 years of marriage to Daniel: How she stunned on big day in a Jasper Conran gown and had three matching bridesmaids -  including 13-year-old Zara Tindall

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 14, 2024
While dressed in a stunning Jasper Conran gown and aided by her bridesmaid Zara Phillips (inset), Sarah Armstrong-Jones married her actor beau 30 years ago today. The daughter of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon met actor Daniel Chatto while working with her father on the film Heat and Dust in India in 1982. Their public appearances together began in 1986 with gallery openings and other events, before the couple announced their engagement earlier in 1994. At their wedding in the small St Stephen Walbrook Church, near St Paul's Cathedral, Lady Sarah and Mr Chatto were honoured by the presence of close family, including the Queen (inset), Prince Philip and Princess Margaret (left with Lord Snowdon). Although many eyes might have been on the warring husband and wife Prince Charles and Princess Diana - who arrived 45 seconds apart - Sarah and her stunning outfit rightly received attention too.

Lady Louise Windsor is 'an English rose that is blossoming', celebrity stylist says as ELIZA SCARBOROUGH shows how the 20-year-old is emerging as a new fashion icon of the Royal Family

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 12, 2024
She displayed both her elegance and her thriftiness at this year's Trooping the Colour by opting to re-wear her stunning ensemble from the King's Coronation. Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, chose the same Suzannah London floral dress that turned heads at Westminster Abbey last year. Now, leading celebrity stylist Alex Longmore - who has worked with Joan Collins, Jerry Hall and Louise's cousin Zara Phillips - has said the 20-year-old is an 'English rose that is blossoming'. She added to MailOnline: 'Lady Louise isn't trying to make statement, she is aristocratic and not fashion conscious. It is intimidating stepping out as a member of the royal family and she has been doing it tactfully with a slow progression as she gains confidence.' Her Trooping the Colour outing was just one example of how Louise is emerging as a new fashion icon of the Royal Family. The young royal, once seen in simple frocks and sensible shoes, now often dazzles in chic dresses and elegant ensembles that highlight her blossoming sense of style - as I highlight below.

The rehearsals behind the royal weddings: From Charles and Diana's run-throughs at St Paul's Cathedral in 1981 to Kate's practice with William at Westminster Abbey in 2011

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 5, 2024
Royal weddings have captivated the public imagination for centuries. As a case in point, the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton (right, arriving with her mother Carole and Prince Harry) at Westminster Abbey in 2011 was watched by a record two billion people worldwide. But a significant amount of preparation was dedicated to ensure everything ran seamlessly, from the vows to the military procession. Like many other couples, William and Kate attended multiple rehearsals before their momentous wedding day. Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer had an initial run-through for their July 1981 wedding on June 12. The final practice came on July 27 (above left). Zara Phillips married rugby star Mike Tindall on July 30, 2011, at Canongate Kirk, a historic church on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The day before, the couple (centre), dressed casually in jeans, attended a run-through with their families.

Green Queen! How Princess Anne has been recycling coats, dresses and handbags from her wardrobe for decades - and still wears pieces dating back to the mid-70s

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 24, 2024
Her mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was recognised for her impactful style choices. And Princess Anne , known as the most industrious royal, has become well-known for repurposing her favourite clothing. The 73-year-old royal has recycled a number of coats, dresses, hats and handbags over the years - some of which she has owned for decades. Not only does Anne re-wear pieces dating back to the mid-seventies, but she also dusts off identical outfits, often with the same jewellery and shoes. When asked about her habit of recycling, she once said: 'A good suit goes on for ever. If it is properly made and has a classic look, you can wear it ad infinitum. The economy was bred into me.'

EMILY PRESCOTT: I'm on a hen do, don't get me out of here!

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 23, 2024
After announcing her engagement to rugged adventurer Ross Turner it seems one time Burberry model Rosie Tapner is already saying: 'Get Me Out Of Here!' Thankfully however, that's only because she themed her hen party around I'm A Celebrity ... As her big day draws closer, the 28-year-old, headed into the English countryside with a bunch of pals and family members, above, to tackle challenges based on the ITV show. 'What a hen do!' says adventure-loving horse-racing TV presenter Rosie. 'The most incredible day and night, totally I'm A Celebrity themed and totally bonkers and brilliant. 'Some epic games to win stars (just like on the show). The level of detail was incredible, I really feel like I've done my time in the jungle.'

I went to Royal Ascot sporting a hat from Kate's milliner, but the highlight was seeing King Charles looking so well and Lady Gabriella Windsor smiling, writes REBEKAH ABSALOM

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 20, 2024
The grand opening of Royal Ascot was a truly heartwarming experience, writes REBEKAH ABSALOM (inset top). Arriving at the Berkshire racecourse for the first time, I immediately made my way to the parade ring to secure a front-row view of the famous carriage procession. King Charles and Queen Camilla (top left) were the first to arrive, accompanied by their close friends, the Duke and Duchess of Wellington. There was some uncertainty regarding Charles's attendance due to ongoing cancer treatment, but it was encouraging see him looking well and waving to the jubilant crowd. Although I had previously seen the royal couple at Sandringham Flower Show in 2022, there was something profoundly moving about witnessing them in person, especially considering Charles's ongoing cancer treatment. As the second carriage approached, I was pleasantly surprised to see Lady Gabriella Windsor seated beside Princess Anne (bottom left). On the opposite side were Anne's son, Peter Phillips, and John Warren, the late Queen Elizabeth's racing manager, who now oversees the King's horses. Lady Gabriella, displaying resilience after the tragic loss of her husband Thomas Kingston in February, was making a second appearance in a matter of days after her outing at Trooping the Colour at the weekend. It was heartwarming to see the support she received from other royals, including a bear hug from Zara Phillips.

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 14, 2024

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 26, 2024
In a world where the royals are often seen as the epitome of luxury and exclusivity, it's refreshing to see them wearing accessible high street brands. They sometimes choose items that cost less than £100, yet are still royal worthy. The Princess of Wales (inset right) has previously opted for affordable retailer & Other Stories, the Duchess of Edinburgh (second from left) loves Spanish brand Zara and Meghan has chosen Banana Republic (second from right). Spain's Queen Letizia (left) has worn a Massimo Dutti dress on five occasions, whilst Sweden's Princess Victoria (right) likes budget brand & Other Stories. Zara Phillips (inset) has worn Monsoon in the past. Embracing high street fashion not only humanises the royals but also has a profound impact on the fashion industry.

How Prince Louis is the spitting image of his father Prince William: Throwback photos show the pair's striking similarities in both appearances and cheeky attitude

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 23, 2024
As the fourth in line to the British throne turned six today, FEMAIL takes a look at how the young royal emulates William, 42, despite his mischievous public demeanour compared to his more poised dad. Nostalgic pictures of King Charles's eldest son as child perfectly capture him in all his boyhood mayhem - which has clearly been passed down to his own son. Louis looked every inch the smart young royal in his birthday portrait with Kate Middleton choosing a smart casual outfit for her son - sweetly echoing William's wardrobe.

Get Me Out of Here! Though sports fans are renowned for his services as a member of England's 2003 World Cup-winning Rugby Union team, athletes are well-known for his contributions. www.dailymail.co.uk, September 28, 2023
Their special bond has existed since the start of time and has been captured in hundreds of photographs throughout the years. However, royal watchers were taken aback by William's humour when he told a podcast that his cousin Zara's victory in equestrian competition was the only time he'd been moved to tears while watching sport. Mike Tindall, Zara Phillips' husband, was admitted earlier this month when he participated in The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby, a rugby show hosted by rugby stars, including Zara Phillips' husband Mike Tindall.

'Jo head-hunted me,' the narrator says. "I was a bit late on the uptake; sums me up, really," she told me later that after I'd been playing football, she'd found me in the pub, and said, "oh, he's nice." She was only 18 years old at the time.' I was six years old at the time. I thought I'd be home one night, but we ended up in a nightclub. We began dancing, then we gazed at each other and started kissing, and it was likely that we had kissed for two hours.'

Princess Anne's no nonsense approach to work and life in general seems to be universally lauded. It's easy to forget that she was once regarded as something of a royal wild child - who embarrassed her parents with blue language and speeding fines!
