Six players and five independent directors sent an email to players on Sunday afternoon to announce that Strategic Sports Group was the unanimous choice to discuss a potential joint venture in the upcoming PGA Tour Enterprises. The new for-profit business was at the center of a framework deal that was announced on June 6 among the PGA Tour, European tour, and the Public Investment Fund, as the LIV Golf Fund's Saudi financial support was at the forefront of it.
