Antoine Dupont has given World Cup hosts France a big boost after being able to return to action following an operation to repair a fractured cheekbone. After suffering a serious injury on September 21, the scrum-half and Les Bleus captain, who is widely regarded as the world's No. 1 player, was expected to miss the remainder of his home tournament. In his team's 96-0 victory over Namibia, Dupont was taken off, and his fitness problem brought an excited French nation into meltdown. The 26-year-old underwent surgery the next day.
