On Monday, William Byron won a thrilling and rain-delayed Daytona 500, finishing ahead of teammate Alex Bowman after more than half of the 40-car field was involved in a major crash. Since winning a four-lap shootout, Byron won his biggest victory of his career in the 'Great American Race'. He and Bowman finished in 1-2 for Hendrick Motorsports. With nine laps remaining in Florida, Byron climbed to second place at the restart.

Following the success of the 'Drive To Survive' fly-on-the-wall Formula One documentary 'Drive To Survive,' the streaming giant has shifted its attention to American auto-racing, NASCAR,' in a series titled 'Full Speed.' The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs and championship race will be broadcast on Netflix, with the first five episodes following drivers as they fight for one of the most coveted titles in US motorsports.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr, a NASCAR racer, survived a frightening crash at Charlotte Motor Speedway after it caught fire during the race. During the 96th lap of the championship, Stenhouse Jr. was compelled to turn around on the side of the track after the broadcast revealed fires shooting up from underneath his car. After several minutes, he nonchalantly jumped out of the car as if nothing was happening, before emergency personnel were seen rushing toward his car to put out the fires.
