EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY LEWIS BROWNING: It's a life of eating his vegetables, doing his job to the best of his ability, and enjoying himself for Escobar. It seems simple, having progressed through the ranks at NXT, now on the main roster in WWE and leading villainous stable Legado Del Fantasma. Escobar isn't a young wrestler. Life may be easier now, but he is 40 years old and had to fight to get to where he is. Not that he didn't enjoy that process either.

An iconic wrestler will be making his return on tonight's Monday Night Raw. Raw will make its season premiere from Calgary at 8pm ET. And the legendary Bret Hart will be in attendance, WWE's chief content officer Triple H has confirmed.

WrestleMania 41 is set to take place in April 2025 in Las Vegas and while there are still nearly eight months between now and then it seems WWE are working to set up several huge matchups for the event. CM Punk is set to step back into the ring for a WrestleMania event for the first time in nearly 12 years. Fans had been eager to see the Second City Saint back in the WWE, and following his return to the company in 2023, they'll now get a chance to see him take on one of his long-standing rivals at WrestleMania 41.

A number of contracts of top stars in the company have run down in recent times, including the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre. Some have since re-signed. But one star, who is a veteran of the company, could be set to leave once again as his deal comes to an end, and reports surfacing in recent times that he won't be kept on. The deal deal is set to expire in a matter of days, with his future unclear and WWE chief Triple H speaking exclusively to Mail Sport about his situation.

LEWIS BROWNING AT CITY HALL: Lesnar, one of the staplepieces of WWE for a number of decades, hasn't been seen in the company since SummerSlam last year, which took place nearly a year ago in Detroit. According to the Wall Street Journal, Lesnar has been linked to Vince McMahon's sex trafficking lawsuit, with his future in WWE unclear since the revelation. Triple H had refused to rule out a potential return post-WrestleMania, and has once again spoken on the future of 'The Beast' when speaking exclusively to Mail Sport on Thursday.

LEWIS BROWNING AT CITY HALL: WWE hosted their most successful WrestleMania of all time in Philadelphia in April, with the likes of The Rock, Cody Rhodes and John Cena all present. Next year they will put on the show in Las Vegas and it will head to Indiana the year after, but there is potential that it could make its way to London - the first time it would have left the United States or Canada - in the very near future.

On June 24, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque announced a partnership between the organization and the Indiana Sports Corp, bringing three of their biggest events to the home of the Colts next year. With Royal Rumble being the first of the trilogy to hit the Hoosier state, Belair urged the Indiana Fever superstar to participate in the historic pay-per-view. 'Everybody is already asking that,' the EST told ComicBook Nation. 'Even before the press conference, they're bringing up Caitlin Clark. I love what's happening with the WNBA. I love that women are getting more spotlight and more attention.'

The Canadian will proudly stand by the side of tag team partner Piper Niven this weekend as she challenges Bayley for the Women's world title in her home country of Scotland. While it's Niven's moment, Green has played a central role in helping her friend rise back to the main event scene. The pair wore the women's tag team championships last year and despite dropping them, they've continued to thrive as a pair ever since. They only united due to Sonya Deville's ACL injury, but many fans don't realise they were living together in Japan back in 2015 and that real-life history has translated perfectly to TV screens.

A decade ago, Drew McIntyre's wildest dreams wouldn't have permitted him to even consider what he's been able to achieve in wrestling for the past few years, and he pushes himself further into the fantasy realm with a landmark moment this weekend in his home country of Scotland. For the first time ever, WWE will host a premium live event - the company's name for a pay-per-view - in Scotland and McIntyre will main event, gunning for Damien Priest's world heavyweight title. The 39-year-old was also inducted into the Scottish Hall of Fame at Ibrox on Thursday, the home of his beloved Rangers . Now, 10 years after he was a footnote in a host of WWE releases, the three-time world champion is signing new money-spinning contracts with help of The Rock and leading major WWE shows to a rabid British fanbase.

Drew McIntyre isn't the only Scot fighting for a world title this weekend in his homeland, Piper Niven also has that honour. Under the name of Doudrop - which Niven famously hated - she challenged Lynch for the world title at the Royal Rumble in 2022. It's unclear what the future holds, however, with WWE now in a new era under Triple H following the departure of Vince McMahon, and the two men likes to run their WWE shows differently.

WWE's new era is well underway following WrestleMania, with new boss Triple H steering the ship following the departure of Vince McMahon. A number of new champions have been crowned since 'Mania, including Cody Rhodes, the new WWE Champion, and Bayley, who is the Women's Champion. The company is arguably the strongest it has been for a long time, but not all is perfect, with one of its premier champions out of contract in just three weeks.

Triple H (left) is the new boss of the company after Vince McMahon stepped down from his role. WWE marked a new era under 'The Game' at WrestleMania, with a number of stars branding it 'The Triple H era' on the back of one of the most successful shows the promotion has ever put on. Feedback has generally been positive regarding the leadership of Triple H, real name Paul Levesque, but not all of the WWE talent past and present have good things to say about the veteran.

Few knew what to expect when company chief Triple H confirmed on Logan Paul 's Impaulsive podcast that the latest edition of the draft was on the horizon following a more-than-successful WrestleMania. The champions this time were locked to their brands, meaning Cody Rhodes and Bayley would remain on SmackDown with Damian Priest and Becky Lynch staying on RAW. The men's mid-card and tag team champions would also remain on their respective brands.

The Hollywood star returned the WWE programming at the start of the year as a face - or 'good' character - and had one of the most popular runs of his career after turning heel - bad - ahead of WrestleMania. He teamed with real-life cousin Roman Reigns to beat new WWE champion Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of night one of 'Mania, and played a major part in Reigns' loss to Rhodes on the second night.

Punk made one of the most shocking returns in wrestling history when he returned to WWE late last year, just weeks after being sacked by rival promotion AEW following a number of backstage fights. He has behaved since returning to the place he made his name before quitting a decade ago, currently embroiled in a feud with Drew McIntyre after costing the Scot the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. WWE and Triple H received backlash for singing the self-proclaimed 'Best in the World', but the move so far seems to have paid off.

We've heard so much about a new era in WWE this weekend and true to form, the company made the RAW after WrestleMania enjoyable once more. Triple H opened the show and told the fans about how just about every record possible was broken at WrestleMania 40. The company saw their 17th sellout in a row with the RAW after WrestleMania in Philadelphia and the fans in attendance got what they have to come to expect from the show that resets the year. Two callups from NXT, one former world champion confirmed to return and WWE legends to compliment a current roster that is on fire.

After WrestleMania's return and debuts, Triple H promised to have a couple of exciting ones in Philadelphia. Despite The Rock's exit - well, partially - and Cody Rhodes' celebration, the night's first match gave fans a look at a new celebrity. Triple H used to play NXT and has seen several of his creations make it to the main roster with varying degrees of success. Now, WWE's future is in the custody of his best friend and, perhaps, the best in-ring talent in WWE history, Shawn Michaels. On Saturday afternoon, NXT Stand and Deliver set a new attendance record of 16,545 people, with the two champions who had missed the show's debuts on the big stage on Monday night.

After WrestleMania, the Rock made his presence felt as he interrupted Cody Rhodes, the show's new Undisputed WWE champion, at the top of the contest. The first hour of RAW was commercial free, with a mixture of Triple H, Rhodes, and The Rock eating up to 50 minutes of it. WWE's CEO brought Rhodes to the ring after the Game began to thank the fans for creating the best WrestleMania of all time (by any metric he kept reminding us). After reveling in finishing his story with Roman Reigns, The Rock, the former champion's cousin, decided to alert Rhodes that his relationship with him had just began. The Final Boss was barely able to talk for the first ten minutes of his match against Rhodes. Rock was told by the Philadelphia crowd to'shut the f*** up' and make him an 'a**h***' every time he tried to talk.

Rhodes made history by defeating Reigns, snapping an era that spanned more than 1,300 days in a match that featured a number of WWE celebrities and legends. After the match, he cut an emotional figure as his family and his relatives joined him in the ring to celebrate, as well as a number of other WWE stars who stood with him after he became the new WWE champion. Much of Rhodes' victory was triggered by the fact that his late father Dusty Rhodes had never won the title, and Cody paid tribute to his father both in the ring and afterwards.
