Ed Johnson (left of left picture), a highly skilled linguist fluent in five languages, was named as the second CIA officer to assist US diplomats in walking through Iranian customs disguised as a Canadian film crew. Johnson's name was revealed on Thursday in a collection of the intelligence service's podcast, The Langley Files, resolving the long-awaited mystery of the officer who worked CIA disguise and forgery expert Tony Mendez on the mission made popular in Ben Affleck's (top together) hit film Argo. Onscreen version of the mission, dubbed officially as the 'Canadian Caper,' portrayed a solo officer pulling off the rescue, despite the fact that Johnson was a key protagonist.
