After being called to a home in Stockleigh on Sunday afternoon, Tony Harrison, the operator of Harrison's Gold Coast and Brisbane Snake Catcher, was bit by an Eastern Brown snake. Mr Harrison is believed to have been attempting to kill two brown snakes that were mating in the garden. In a stable but serious state, the snake catcher was rushed to the hospital. Brooke's wife was also hospitalized, but not bitten.

On Monday, the train driver was caught on film walking down a platform at Roma Street station in Brisbane's CBD while gingerly carrying the 2.3 meter python (left) away with the broom. The large reptile was seen hanging off the man's broom, while rail staff stood back at a distance, staring off the man's legs (right).
