Kimberly Hall, a 28-year-old beautician from Middlesbrough, met two 'property developers' in Portugal, who allegedly coerced her into taking bags of what she thought was cash back to the UK after travelling to Cancun, her family insist. Hall was 'threatened' once she arrived and given the bags in Mexico - before being detained in Chicago with 43kg of cocaine while waiting for a connecting flight to Manchester.

A British beautician could be locked up for 60 years in the US for allegedly bringing £3.5m worth of cocaine stashed in suitcases home from a holiday in Mexico. Kimberly Hall, 28, claimed she was forced to carry suitcases for two men who offered her a free holiday to Cancun.  Her father said they were property developers and invited her to stay with them after meeting her at another holiday in Portugal.

Top-secret intelligence reports that were reportedly leaked by Massachusetts Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira indicate that US intelligence services were aware of up to four more Chinese spy balloons in comparison to the one that took over the country earlier this year. According to the documents, one balloon launched over a US carrier strike group, code named Bulger-21 by US authorities, circumnavigated the Earth from Dec 2021 to May 2022, a third named Acquito-21 is also listed, and a fourth is believed to have crashed in the South China sea.
