A leading concussion campaigner has called on the NFL to investigate Josh Allen's return to the field after his head bounced off the turf in frightening scenes. The Bills quarterback was left face down, his left wrist bent into the floor, following a tackle towards the end of Buffalo's 23-20 loss to the Texans. Concerned teammates rolled the motionless Allen over before trainers took him to the medical tent for evaluation. 

Concussion campaigners have slammed the decision to allow Josh Allen to return to the field minutes after the Bills quarterback suffered a sickening blow to the head against the Texans. Allen's head bounced off the turf after a tackle during Buffalo's 23-20 defeat by Houston on Sunday. The quarterback was left face down, his left wrist bent into the turf, following the brutal hit to his head. Concerned teammates stood over Allen before he headed to the medical tent for evaluation, only to return to the game shortly.

This is the horrifying moment Carolina Panthers player Tommy Tremble appeared to be knocked unconscious after suffering a sickening hit during Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.  Slow-motion replays showed the tight end hitting the ground and failing to immediately get to his feet after brutally colliding with Bears' Jaquan Brisker.  The Chicago safety brought down Tremble, who collapsed on top of Brisker and lay motionless.
