A star-studded crop of celebrities are rumoured to have signed up for the all star version of The Traitors.  Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the spin-off series will see the group compete in the psychological challenge to try to uncover who 'the traitors' are in order to win a cash prize.  And it seems the BBC are on their way to securing a bumper crop of celebs - with Courteney Cox, Ricky Gervais, Tom Daley and Tess Daly and Vernon Kay amongst the names rumoured to appear on the series.

A huge BBC sports star is set to join Stephen Fry and Tom Daley on the celebrity version of the hit show Traitors. The presenter and former athlete will appear on the series, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, after rejecting previous offers to star in the reality show. The pundit, 53, is said to now be on board after becoming intrigued by the murder mystery game The Sun reports. 

The presenter, 55, has swapped James Yardley, known for his edgier looks, for Laury Smith, who is bringing a classic and glamorous style to her Saturday night outfits. Though a fashion role model to millions, Ms Daly has faced harsh criticism from some viewers during previous series. One said a pair of black faux leather £99 trousers from John Lewis that Ms Daly wore on the show last year looked like a 'bin liner', or as if she had borrowed them from a Cornish fisherman.

Tom Daley made a stylish arrival in an all black outfit at the star-studded Stella McCartney runway show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday.  The former British diver, 30, who retired after the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, looked incredible in a black semi-sheer tank top which boasted a dazzling silver belt.  He added an oversized blazer over the number and opted for a pair of wide legged trousers.

Tom Daley has auctioned off a pair of his swimming trunks on Sunday for £10,000 after announcing his retirement from diving. The Olympic medallist, 30, put his woollen briefs on eBay and and fans immediately flooded to the site. His passion project received a total of 112 bids and managed to raise a staggering amount of money for charity.

Radiohead frontman Yorke also used the platform to open up about his own struggles and the 'hard time' his family went through when his ex-partner and mother of their two children, Rachel Owen, died of cancer aged 48 in 2016. BBC international editor and war reporter Jeremy Bowen told Laverne last June how his bowel cancer diagnosis in 2019 had 'brought back' his optimistic side.

It comes after the 30-year-old confirmed on Monday that he was quitting the sport following his medal-winning performance in the 2024 Paris Olympics . The campaign, in partnership with charity Royal Life Saving Society UK, aims to draw attention to the fact that one in 14 drowning incidents in the UK are alcohol related. Team GB 's Olympic heroes have returned home from Paris after the Eurostar train carrying the athletes pulled in to King's Cross St Pancras. Hundreds of fans lined the platform waving Union flags and cheering the sporting stars who have competed at this year's Games - which came to a close at the Stade de France on Sunday evening. The 327-strong group of athletes managed to surpass Team GB's total medal haul from the Tokyo Olympics by claiming 65 medals in total. However, only 14 of those were gold in Paris, compared to 22 gold medals in Tokyo. Bryony Page, who won gold in the women's trampoline event, was one of the first off the train to be welcomed home by London Mayor Sadiq Khan , who was one of the well-wishers in attendance at the capital's iconic train station.

The competition has been fierce in Paris, whether those battles have been fought on the track, in the velodrome or in the pool. You would expect no less at the Olympics, of course, where those life-changing gold medals are on the line. And, as you would expect from athletes who spend their entire lives locked in competition, naturally there comes an element of who can record the most views on their videos.
